Nice indian restaurant, very close to the MRT
We attended birthday party here ... Food was nice both ved and non veg ... Hall was sufficiently large to fit around 50 people
One of my most visited restaurant in Kualalampur. I just love their food. Amazing Indian taste and mouthwatering taste.
Restaurant serving Indian dishes most of North Indian. Food quality and taste are okay. Restaurant seems to attract a trendy crowd of tourists. The location is also just opposite to the Nu Central mall in Brickfields Kulalumpur. Prices are on the higher side. Beers are also served here. May be a place to visit for dinner if you shop at Nu Central mall.
Nice ambience and service was good but the same can't be said about the food. It was mediocre and portions are quite small; sufficient for only an individual portion. Food and beverages are overpriced. Many other places in the vicinity that have more to offer in terms of food quality and quantity. The only plus point of Gem Restaurant is it's clean and cosy atmosphere.
Air-conditioned restaurant serving wholesome Indian food. Order can be customized to meet your needs. Naans are soft and nice. Try the mango lassi as well.
Although it’s on the high side when it comes to pricing but the food tastes real good and it has a cozy environment.. would definitely recommend this place and come back for more 😋
Food is good and they keep the taste standard all the time. Service can be improved.
Went there on a Friday noon with colleagues, there were 10 of us.We waited for 45min for the food to be served and we were starving. Food is not bad.We parked 250m away at YMCA car park. Paid RM7.70 for parking.
Very good Indian food. One of the best in Malaysia
Good food.
Best Indian restaurant in Brickfields. Food is excellent! Chicken Hyderabadi highly recommended! Only drawback is that service is a bit slow and could be improved
Decent Indian food at Brick fields. With alcohol, starters have never disappointed me.
Calm ambience
The food is okay and you'll probably a little bit more compared to somewhere else. I enjoyed their prawn biryani. The restaurant can get really busy on weekend, especially dinner hours. They waiters can try to make an effort to smile a lot more. I felt the service tad cold for my liking. I will be back anyway.
A great little restaurant option in Little India. Suitable for families and individual diners
Foods just sad.. Had bhuna ghost, dal makhani and goan fish curry
Great service and good food
If you're a first timer, it's okay coz the manager/server/waiter are very approachable and hands on. They will teach you how to eat properly just like Indians do eat their food.
The one restaurant I take EVERYONE who visits KL to. Everyone loves it.
A cozy upscale Indian place in brickfields.Food tatstes real good though a bit expensive, hard to categorize as overpriced or value for money.Wide selection of Indian food on the menu, tastes quite authentic and hygenic. No Beef available.Entire place has only TWO baby chairs in total, so bit hard to get seating for your toddler in the evenings. All in all, good place to get great variety of Indian food if you are okie in spending twice what you usually do.
Food 5/5. Only had curry and rice and they were delicious. Service 3/5. Very polite and helpful guy but took a while to bring my bottle of Guiness. He started taking orders from people who arrived after me.Overall it was a nice visit.Recommend.
Nice restaurant with decent Indian style food
Good food and good staff, quick service and quiet environment even though it was a weekend lunch time.
I love this place . The interior wall is decorated with Indian paintings making your group photo nice for any occasion. I love the glass which is like copper outside and steel in the inside. The food are amazing , especially the platter . They do offer banana leaf and it's one of the best in Brickfields so far. The drinks... Oooh the drinks.. I had mango lassi to accompany the dish I had and it made me want more .I am not a fan of lasso but this one was exceptional. The staff were helpful and they manage to get everyone's order even while we were a big group. They were always ready to assist. The service might be slow when it's peak hour but ...hey.. It's the quality which matters right!!?😊
I visited there with My friend.. Really there have so many choices of Indian Food.. Taste was like heaven.. Very good atmosphere with some Indian music... Staffs were very curtious, they helped us to choose menu.. They are not at all late to deliver the food which you have ordered.. Actually i like their cutleries🤣🤣.. want to visit again and again..😃😃
The seemingly endless row of Indian outfits in Brickfields didn't make it an easy choice. I picked GEM and was quite happy. It's very close to Sentral station, you can take the overpass connected to the mall. Really enjoyed the Chettinad dishes, bindhi melagu (okra) was nicely spiced and bagara baingan also good. Service is swift, prices are plus GST and service charge, which is common, but also means total price is on the higher side. You can easily spend MYR 40-60 per person.Last order is around 22:45, so don't come too late.
Great service, food is very good. I would highly recommend the methi chicken.
Even though it says their Prawn Briyani is the best, the Mutton Briyani tastes better. Chicken lolly was amazing and rich with garlic. I would suggest the chicken corn soup as starter.
Good Food, lots of choices. Service, so so.
Good Indian restaurant. You will get Tamil Biriyani
Very good spicy food.. chicken bryani is so good!
Absolutely loved the food. I was missing Indian food and this place was the perfect restaurant to quench my craving.
Recently my friend hosted a birthday event for his daughter. Gem got a restaurant at ground floor and 1st floor is reserved for party/events. Location is very convenient and very center as it is just opposite to NU Sentral mall brickfields . Food is awesome and rates are standard.Party area(rectangle shape) is good enough to host approx 50 ppl and renting this place is cheaper than other place. Washroom needs to be improved.
Really love the food here mainly biryani. The settings of the place is also really nice to dine in. It's a must try!
A friend recommended this place, Food is okay, Chicken Kali Mirch and Palak Paneer was awesome, Not much expensive, ordered butter naan alongside which was good, however i ordered chapati as well, I was disappointed to see chapatis made entirely of Maida instead of Wheat flour. Asked the manager who was very polite and understand, however this should be mentioned in menu that chapatis are not wheat flour
Food was hearty, warm, rich in flavours and well-spiced! I love their jeera fried rice, it's minty and somewhat very refreshing. My first try and I definitely am loving the Jeera rice!
Excellent Indian Cuisine at the heart of Kuala Lumpur
I ordered “butter chicken" with rice and mango-yoghurt drink (mango lassi). The drink was delicious, i would recommend it. In the food however i could feel sand and i even found a small stone. A waiter changed the food but i could feel the sand anyway. Also this place is too expensive. I paid 38.25 rm.
Busy restaurant. My food and lassi were really tasty
Food taste average, misled by waiter that curry to go with the dishes are complimentary when it was charged as full dish price during bill payment. An average overall experience and would give this a miss over many other more worthy restaurant options within the same row.
Food was nice. Good ambience good staff too.
Typical North Indian cuisine. Ambience ordinary. Good service. Make sure you like spicy food.
This place deserves to be higher than 3.9 stars. My friend and I had an excellent meal. The staff were very friendly, patient, and informative about the menu. The food was great. I especially liked the tandoori cauliflower with the mint sauce. I'll definitely come back.
Nice place... Can try to improve in taste of briyani
Consistency in taste. An upper end Indian restaurant serving northern Indian cuisine. Price on the higher end but it's worth every MYR spent. You can have your drinks at Supper Club next door and order food from Gem. Good service, a bit slow when it's busy. Overall, great food.
They have a very big menu which includes north and south Indian dishes. Tasty food and generous serving. The Kulfi was very tasty and big portion as you can see from the attached photo. May be the dishes touch rich with lot of coconut milk, but then most nor Indian dishes are very rich :)
very good & tasty foods
Food is pretty decent and particularly enjoyed the mutton Roganjosh and garlic naan. Mango Lassi was perhaps too sweet.
Good selection of South Indian food, both veg and non-veg
